Academic Director for General Education and Liberal Studies
Nicole Nathan, Academic Director for General Education and Liberal Studies received her PhD in Anthropology from Temple University. As an adjunct, she taught in the Anthropology departments at Queens College CUNY and Temple University. As a full-time faculty member at Temple, she taught in the Spanish and Portuguese department before serving as the inaugural Faculty Director of the Bachelor of General Studies program, focusing on making education more accessible and equitable through adaptive pedagogy and expansive curricular development. Her multi-sited research in cultural anthropology is based in the United States and the Dominican Republic and focuses on postcolonialism, including race and inequality, at the intersection of labor and trade, Christianity, and tourism.
