Executive Director for Human Resources
Frances Correa has been with CUNY since 2006, beginning her career as a College Assistant in the Central Office Human Resources department. From 2006 to 2014, she served in several roles at the Central Office, including HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, and HR Manager, primarily supporting the University’s Office of Computing and Information Services in her Manager and Specialist roles. She then served as Employee Relations Officer from 2014 to 2024, managing key HR functions such as employee grievances, conflict resolution, leave management, and policy interpretation. From 2020 to 2024, she also served as Deputy Director of Human Resources for the Central Office.
In September 2024, Frances became the first Executive Director for Human Resources at CUNY SPS.
Frances holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and brings over 23 years of HR experience in both the public and private sectors. Her areas of expertise include employee and labor relations, benefits administration, HRIS, performance management, training, and recruitment. She holds a BA in Human Relations from Pace University and an MA in Labor Studies from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
